Well done to everyone taking part in events over the weekend. Great to see the sun in the sky even though it doesn’t always make for ideal running conditions.
If you take part in an event and I miss your result, I’m sorry. I have a scan of a couple of the common results sites but won’t necessarily pick up on some of the obscure stuff we get up to, especially if it happens to be miles away.
My email is simonmidd73@sky.com so just send me details of the event, your result and a photo if poss and I will do the rest.
Onto this weekend. Well done to Richard Hawkins and Jonathan Richardson for taking part in the ‘gruelling’ food fest that is the Marathon du Malton. Multiple food and wine steps over 10K sounds like a treat to me.
I cannot find any official results online so your Strava results have saved the day. Richard finished in 1:01:57 and it looks like Jonathan ran with him judging by your FB photos?
Big congratulations to Ben Briffaud who conquered the Steelman triathlon, a half Ironman event involving a 2K swim, 56 mile bike ride and a mere half marathon to finish. Chapeau Ben!
It always looks like our other regular triathlete, Ian Smithson was doing something impressive at Holme Pierrepoint in Nottingham. I can see the run and bike bits but not the swim! No doubt you were flying Ian, well done.
